Awreliya is the Melbourne based doomsoul project led by songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist Aurelia Fiorentino. Marrying gospel tinged harmonies with spine tingling power ballads, she uses her sonic realm as alchemy that unthreads wounds and unfolds sanctuary. Known for her primal belting vocals, juxtaposed with moments of fragile intimacy, Awreliya weaves banshee screams over distorted guitars and haunting ambient textures. With the heaviness of sludge and the heavenly harmony of neosoul and jazz, expect the uexpected: music that feels more like a spell, a meditation and then a crashing homage to escapism and murder ballads. Inspired by Nick Cave, Hiatus Kaiyote, Dilly Dally and Chelsea Wolfe.

Front woman Aurelia cut her teeth on Sydney’s vibrant scene, leading bands with percussionist Yiss Mill and bassist/producer Nic Malouf, and touring Europe’s underground venues. She’s already marked key milestones: her debut double sided album was released January 2025 and lead single Grace dropped June 26, 2024 both garnering radio airplay. 

Now based in Melbourne, Awreliya’s current lineup includes Dash Dandy on drums and Nik Karlin on bass - together hitting that sweet spot between doom and soul.
